Things to do in Cambridgeshire

The Fitzwilliam Museum, which houses world class collections of works of art and antiquities spanning centuries and civilisations, is situated in Cambridgeshire with one of Europe's main aviation museums, the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. Ely cathedral, founded in the 11th century was restored in the 18th century after being destroyed, and then restored again in 1839 and 1996. The university of Cambridge offers tours of its grounds and houses many museums, such as the Scott Polar Institute.

Cambridgeshire is situated 1 hour away from Liverpool St. Station and King's Cross Station in London.

By Coach and Bus

National Express is a national bus operator offering travel between different cities within England and from airports to city centres, with an hours journey time to London. Stagecoach operate the main bus routes in the county.

By Sea

Cambridgeshire is within easy reach of the East Coast sea ports of Felixstowe, Harwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Despite being inland Cambridgeshire also has it's own harbour in the Fenland town of Wisbech.

By Car

From London and the South, Cambridgeshire is a short trip up the M11 motorway. It's main roads are the A1, A141, A14, A428, A142 and the A10.

By Air

Cambridgeshire is situated 25 minutes from London Stansted Airport which provides regular flights to most major European destinations, and within 1 hour 30 minutes of London Gatwick and London Heathrow.
